BoardComp runs board climbing competitions at a set of London climbing gyms. Climbers enter a competition, log the boulders they climb, and appear on a leaderboard.
Only what the competition needs in order to work:
That is the entire list.
We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell or share your data for advertising.
Your email address is used to send a one-time sign-in code, and to contact you about the competition — for example if you place. Your username, home gym and logged climbs are used to work out the leaderboard, which is visible to other entrants.
On servers in the United Kingdom and the European Union: the application runs in London and the database is hosted in the EU. Traffic between the app and the server is encrypted with HTTPS.
Sign-in codes and session tokens are stored only as cryptographic hashes, so they cannot be read back out of the database.
Competition results are kept as a record of past events. You can delete everything at any time.
In the app, go to Me → Delete my account. That permanently removes your account, your email address and every climb you logged. It cannot be undone.
You can also email us and we will delete it for you.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at the address below.
